Two Sunflowers 🌻 (24" x 12")

I painted this piece while thinking about something called the sunflower theory ~ the idea that sunflowers face the sun during the day, and when darkness falls, they turn toward each other.

I don’t know why, but that thought stayed with me. There’s something so comforting about it, the idea of finding warmth and light in one another when the sun is no longer there.

So I turned that feeling into this painting: “The Two Sunflowers.”
